Specialising in Racehorse Agistment, Sporthorse breeding,sales preparation.
Timberlee is fully post and rail fenced and has horse friendly grass planted,a beautifully sheltered property set off the road.
About Lisa Dunbar Owner
Lisa has worked in the horse industry for a large number of years and concentrated on the Thoroughbred Industry for the last 25 years and been interested in horses and ridden from an early age. She runs a successful boutique stud farm in Walton and has a broad view of racing and breeding, she is past tutor of apprentices,stablehands and breeding students and was also the Waikato Thoroughbred Breeders branch secretary for 4 years. She previously worked for Leigh Noble authorised syndicator, Murray Baker Racing (Office)and was for 4 ½ years Financial administrator/Office Manger for Wexford Stables Matamata. Currently she is fully self employed combining her other skill as a saddle fitter with looking after the farm.
In addition Lisa was part of the team who pinhooked and sold through the Timberlee draft C’est La Guerre Gr 1 NZ Derby winner 2008 by four lengths, the largest winning margin of the race in ten years and subsequently 3rd in the Melbourne Cup. The most successful syndicate horse to date is “Aero de Paris “(6 wins) and as a breeder “Lucky Fun” (3 wins in Hong Kong to date) As well as having bred a good number of other winners from small numbers bred to date.
